Recycled Mats and Grass

Recycled Mats and Grass

You may ask "Will your mat kill the grass?"

The answer is NO.

Our mats are breathable and allow the dirt and sand to go through.  They do reduce light which after a week or so in the sun will make grass yellow. High-traffic areas do the most damage to grassy sites.  Or mats that get very hot and kill the grass at the root.  Here is an example.

Below is a photo of a rubber mat mark after 3 days.

mats wont kill the grass they protect it

A tent or swag will damage the grass so it is always important to check with the campsite to make sure you can put anything down on the grassy areas....if it is lovely grass you won't need a mat.  But most parks are not so it is a good idea to always be prepared aas you may not be able to use a tent, swag or even an annex at these grounds.
