Your Camping Mat Warehouse recycled poly mat is designed to provide years of use when correctly cared for. Please read these simple instructions before use — especially the folding instructions.

BEFORE FIRST USE

Your new mat may initially feel firm. Lay it out, hose it down and allow it to dry. The weave will naturally soften with use, allowing water, dirt and sand to pass through more easily.

Before laying your mat, clear away sharp stones, sticks, roots or other objects that could damage the weave.

USING YOUR MAT

• Lay it naturally – never pull or stretch the mat tight.
• Lift, don't drag furniture – dragging chairs, tables or equipment can catch the weave.
• Protect the eyelets – don't pull, lift or drag the mat by the eyelets, and don't over-tighten mat screws.
• Keep heat away – cigarettes, mosquito coils, hot coals, fire pits and other hot items can melt the poly material.
• Furniture may leave temporary indentations, particularly on soft ground. These generally reduce over time and are normal.

IMPORTANT – FOLD YOUR MAT CORRECTLY

Correct folding is one of the most important things you can do to protect your mat.

Your mat has one or two natural fold lines running along its length. One may naturally sit as a peak and the other as a valley.

Always fold with the natural fold – never against it.

Do not force a peak into a valley, a valley into a peak, or create unnecessary new fold lines. Incorrect folding can damage the weave.

If the fold doesn't naturally want to go that way – don't force it.

CLEANING & STORAGE

Hose your mat clean using water and mild soapy water if required. A pressure washer can be used carefully on a wide/fan setting.

Avoid harsh chemicals as they may affect the material and UV protection.

Always allow your mat to dry completely before storing. Fold correctly and store in a cool, dry location, preferably protected in a carry bag.

WEAVE & THREAD VARIATIONS

As your mat is a woven product, minor weave variations, thread turns, thread swaps and loose or short threads can naturally occur. These generally do not affect the performance or life of the mat.

Loose threads can usually be carefully trimmed or tucked into the weave.

All mats are subject to a ±2% variation in weave and finished dimensions.

A LITTLE CARE GOES A LONG WAY

Damage caused by misuse, incorrect folding, excessive force, heat, sharp objects or failure to follow these Care & Maintenance Instructions is not considered a manufacturing fault.
