Built Tough – Made to Last
Our mats are as tough as they come, featuring the highest quality finishes to withstand the harshest conditions. Whether you're camping in the outback or by the coast, our mats can handle it all.
Just like the demo mat in the video below, our mats have endured thousands of footsteps, truck traffic, mud, bindis, and all kinds of weather—and still look like new.
This is our 10 tonne truck driving over the mat at the Adelaide Caravan and Camping Show. Not a mark is left and the mat is still like new.

How are our mats different from the rest?
What Makes Our Mats Different?
We’re proud to offer recycled mats that truly stand out from the rest. Here’s what sets us apart:
1. Superior Strength & Durability
Our mats are the thickest recycled mats on the market, built to last with unique features you won’t find elsewhere—heat-welded edging, double-stitched UV-stable bindings, and stainless steel eyelets for extra strength and longevity.
2. Lightweight Yet Tough
Despite their superior thickness, our mats are incredibly lightweight. Traditional rubber matting can be bulky and heavy, but our mats are easy to carry and store. The secret? We use the thickest possible weave threads, making them not only stronger and softer, but also just as light as any recycled mat available.
3. Built for the Outdoors
All our mats are fully UV-stable, designed to withstand the harsh Aussie sun. That’s why they’re a favorite among outdoor enthusiasts who want comfort and reliability wherever they go.
4. One-of-a-Kind Designs
Every design is created in-house, featuring original artwork and imagery inspired by real Australian landscapes and photos. You won’t find these unique patterns anywhere else.

Are your mats sustainable for use on grass?
Yes, they are!
Our mats are designed to breathe, allowing dirt and sand to fall through easily. In the photo shown, our mat was placed on the left side during a busy caravan camping event—and you can clearly see the difference. Despite thousands of people walking over it for seven days, the grass underneath looks fresh and untouched. It’s proof that our mats not only protect the ground but help it stay healthy too.

Do your mats get hot in the sun?
Comfortable Even in the Sun
While our mats may warm up in the sun, they never get hot like shade cloth or rubber matting. That’s one of the reasons they’re a favourite in preschools—they stay safe and comfortable for little feet and won’t cause burns. Plus, they’re super easy to clean, making them a practical choice for any space.

How easy are the mats to clean and store?
Easy to Clean, Easy to Store
Our mats are stain and mildew resistant, making clean-up a breeze. Just hose them off when needed—even a pressure washer won’t hurt them.
When it's time to pack up, storing them is just as easy. Each mat is designed with fold-line memory, so it neatly folds back into its original shape and slips right into the included carry bag—yep, every mat comes with one, free of charge.
The carry bag is PVC-lined, so if you need to pack up a wet mat, the rest of your gear stays dry. Once you're home, just rinse it off, let it dry, and you’re all set for your next adventure.

How are your mats secured to the ground?
Secure and Built to Last
We’re the only ones who include stainless steel eyelets in our mats—one of the key features that sets us apart from other suppliers. These eyelets make it easy to secure your mat using mat screws or tent pegs, keeping it firmly in place even on windy days.
Our mat securing kits are available on our website and are a popular add-on for anyone wanting peace of mind when setting up outdoors.

Are your mats uv-stabilsed?
Made for the Aussie Outdoors
Any product made from recycled plastic and designed for outdoor use must be UV-stabilised. Unfortunately, not all brands get this right—and that’s why some mats fade, crack, or split along the centre fold over time.
We’ve seen it firsthand when we previously stocked other brands. That experience led us to develop our own mats, built specifically for Australia's harsh conditions.
Every part of our mats—material, binding, and stitching—is UV-stable. We’re the only company to offer all three, giving you complete peace of mind that your mat is made to last.

Do you offer warranty?
Warranty & Registration
We proudly offer a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty on all our mats, covering any faults not caused by misuse.
To ensure you're fully covered, don’t forget to register your purchase on our website. This step helps you get familiar with how to properly condition and care for your mat before hitting the road—so it stays in great shape for years to come.
Please note, damage caused by misuse isn't covered under warranty. The carry bag, while included free for easy storage, is not covered under the warranty.

Are the mats environmentally friendly?
Yes – 100% Sustainable
Our mats are made from recycled plastic and are fully recyclable at the end of their life, making them a truly sustainable choice. Unlike PVC or shade cloth mats, ours can be recycled again to create new plastic products in the future.
Each 6m x 2.4m mat repurposes over 600 plastic water bottles, helping to reduce landfill and give waste a second life. So not only do our mats look great, but you can also feel good knowing you're making an eco-friendly choice.

Are the mats slippery when wet?
100% Non-Slip – Even When Wet
Our mats are designed for safety and grip—they’re completely non-slip, even in wet conditions. In fact, when they get wet, they become slightly squeaky underfoot—a clear sign of the secure grip they provide.
Unlike two-layered or PVC mats, ours don’t absorb or hold water, so they stay lightweight and easy to handle, no matter the weather. It's a feature we proudly demonstrate at caravan and camping events across the country.

How durable are your mats?
Built to Withstand Harsh Conditions
A Camping Mat Warehouse recycled mat is designed to endure the toughest environments. Whether exposed to intense sun, rain, or heavy foot traffic, they are made with UV-stable materials and reinforced stitching to resist fading, cracking, and wear over time. They're perfect for outdoor adventures, from the outback to the coast.
The mat in the image is from the Big Red Bash 2024. After getting incredibly muddy, a simple hose-down brought it back to life, and it’s still one of our demo mats today—proving that it’s as durable as ever.
