How to Choose the Perfect Camping Mat for Your Next Adventure

There are a few things to consider when choosing a camping mat for your camping setup.

  1. Weight.  Are you limited on the amount of weight you can carry?

Weights are a huge focus for many caravan owners due to issues with overloading caravans.  You will need a mat to take camping but if weights are an issue then you should be focusing on light-weight options.  Recycled mats from us are extremely light with the largest mat weighing around 6kg.
  2. Location: Where do you like to camp?

If you love to camp near the beach in sandy spots you will need a mat that allows sand and dirt to fall through. However, if you camp outback you need a mat that also will not stain in red dirt plus will not collect bindi.  Our mats are great in both locations

  3. Storage space: How much room do you have to store a mat?

Storage is an issue, especially in motor homes and smaller caravans.  If you do not have room in your tunnel or front boot we suggest other options like under the bed or even in the shower area.  We use the shower area as the first thing out is the mat and the last thing in is the mat.  If the mat is dirty or wet it is easy to just rince down the shower.
